MintoMidtown achieves LEED gold

Email

MintoMidtown at Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue in Toronto, has achieved LEED Gold certification, making it the largest multi-residential LEED certified condominium in North America.

After its first year of operation through efficient design and resident participation, MintoMidtown saw exceptional savings in energy consumption. Homeowner costs for energy and water were reduced on average $90/month compared to suites built to the standards of the Model National Energy Code for Buildings as verified by CBIP (Commercial Building Incentive Program). Collectively, these savings amount to over $1million.

Minto is the first and only residential developer in Canada with three LEED Canada certified high-rise condominium communities (totaling 1,417 suites). In 2006 Radiance@MintoGardens was the first multi-unit high-rise residential condominium to achieve LEED Canada certification, and in 2007 MintoRoehampton was the first multi-family building in Canada to achieve LEED Gold certification.
